I am a freelance author and editor who specializes in all things romance, including all the subgenres. I'm also interested in working with other fiction genres if the project is right. This is a safe space for diverse authors and their stories as my goal is always to amplify the voice of the author through their story.
I am probably not the right editor for you if you're writing middle grade or younger, nonfiction (including memoirs and self-help), or religious fiction.
Developmental Editing
Price: $0.018 per word

This extensive editing service takes a deep dive into your manuscript looking at things like plot structure, dialogue, character arcs, content, and more.
What's Included:

Manuscript Evaluation

This is a cheaper alternative to a full developmental edit. I still look at the same things within your manuscript but provide feedback only through an editorial letter in a much broader way.

1 read through of your manuscript with detailed notes taken for the editorial letter

Proofreading
​Price: $0.008 per word

This is the last step in your novel's editing journey. After it's gone through a copy or line edit, it's time for proofreading. This is one last final pass to catch any lingering typos, grammatical errors, and consistency issues.

What's Included:

Minimum of 2 read throughs of your manuscript to catch errors

Please note:
​A nonrefundable 25% deposit is due at the time of booking. If you need to reschedule, please let me know at least 20 days prior to the agreed upon deadline and the deposit will transfer to the new date. Failure to inform me results in a forfeit of the deposit and a new one will be needed to book a new date.

I've always loved the art of storytelling and figuring out what pieces need to come together to make stories complete. It's my goal as an editor to work closely with authors to strengthen their stories and amplify their voice. I am not interested in changing your style or tone, or even your story. I want to take a look at the story with you and figure out what, if anything, is missing.

My goal is also to be accessible to indie authors by offering payment plans and a flexible reschedule policy, because life happens. All perspective clients will undergo a complimentary sample edit up to 2,000-words to help determine if we're the right fit for one another. My current turnaround time for a sample edit is 2-3 business days; I will then return it to you completed with a quote. If we decide to proceed, we'll establish dates, and I'll draw up the contract. The deposit is due at the time we sign the contract. Payment dates will be decided upon prior to the contract being signed.
